A Barnstable County Superior Court grand jury indicted Patrick Doran, of Hyannis, on June 27, after an investigation found he had nearly 1,200 files of child sexual abuse material, district attorney Robert Galibois announced on Monday. 

Prosecutors on Friday decided to not move forward with the charges against Craig A. Daley, who had been accused of assaulting and raping a woman in 2024.

Craig A. Daley, who has worked as a corrections officer at the sheriff’s office, pleaded not guilty to assault and battery on a household or family member and rape in Edgartown District Court on Monday and was ordered held without bail. 

A Barnstable superior court judge has sided with the Dukes County sheriff in a spat with Cape and Islands district attorney Rob Galibois over the release of employee records.

A Cape Cod judge is considering the Dukes County sheriff’s request this week to toss out a lawsuit filed against him by the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office.
