The Duke County sheriff has secured $1.7 million in state funding for the next phase of upgrading radio communications for Martha’s Vineyard emergency departments.
The Hon. Benjamin C. Barnes will become the new first justice of the Edgartown district court next month. The appointment takes effect Oct. 7, a court spokesman confirmed this week.
