With celebrations quiet and celebratory, large and small, Islanders welcomed 2016 on a clear, crisp winter night. As the clock struck midnight and the new year began, Edgartown harbor and the lighthouse were bathed in the light of fireworks. Revelers gathered at the Harbor View Hotel for music, dancing and celebration, and as 2016 began the party moved outside to watch the sky aglow with lights and the promise of a new year.
