Several Vineyard men stood in the sun on the Vineyard Haven seawall Saturday to show their opposition to sexual and domestic violence against women. The fourth annual seawall event by Connect to End Violence was an initiative of the Vineyard Men for Abuse Prevention group, which was founded in 2012.

The hastag #notallmen was written in chalk on the seawall as men stood holding signs indicating women they honored: wives, children, grandchildren and everyone who has been abused were a few of the honorees. Tisbury policeman Max Sherman held a sign indicating that he was participating in honor of his soon to be born daughter.

Connect to End Violence, a program of Martha's Vineyard Community Services, offers a crisis hotline and free, confidential short-term counseling, court advocacy, and referral services.
