Vineyarders came out of the Memorial Day weekend with a strong wind at their backs and optimism for a busy season ahead. Although the weekend was a washout weatherwise, hordes of people crowded Island downtowns. In Oak Bluffs the number of passengers waiting to leave in Oak Bluffs extended up the length of the pier and took a turn onto the sidewalk.
