After mild weather and little snowfall, winter announced itself in grand style on the Vineyard with a Saturday blizzard, with driving snow, gusting winds, and high seas. While early forecasts showed the Vineyard would miss the worst of the storm, the track shifted and the Island is under a blizzard warning until 1 a.m. Sunday. On Saturday morning and early afternoon, snow started to accumulate and winds picked up as the blizzard arrived.
