A nearly-full moon lit the Vineyard Monday night, and from Edgartown to Chilmark, photographers braved the chilly air to point their lenses at the sky. While the farmer's almanac calls the October full moon the hunter's moon, the Gazette likes to call it the pumpkin moon.
Photographers and sky watchers, it is not too late to enjoy the pumpkin moon. The moon is full today, Tuesday, Oct. 27.
