The first snowfall of the season seems magical, as the world transforms with a blanket of white. Then winter settles in and the snow comes more often and lingers, becoming a fact of the season. Pretty soon it is easy to long for warmth and snow-free views, for the day the snow boots are put away and grass can be felt under bare feet. But the winter world has beauty, too, easier to appreciate as each day brings us closer to spring. Take a look at the Island's winter landscape through Tim Johnson's camera lens.
