First there was a blizzard, which dumped snow on the ground, and then a weekend of harsh, subzero temperatures, glazing the outdoor world with a coat of ice and making sea smoke rise from the water. Warmer temperatures moved in along with fog and rain a few days later, and the snow disappeared, at least for awhile.
Vineyard life goes on as the fickle weather veers from fog to frost, snow to sun. From otters peeking out of ponds to cliffs and houses sheathed in fog, take a look at the changing landscape through Tim Johnson's camera lens.
