Around us, the natural world is responding to the changes as we are poised between summer and fall. Birds are migrating, poison ivy vines along forest paths are turning crimson and caterpillars are on the move, hunting good spots to spin their cocoons. We've enjoyed the second blossoming of sweet clematis, and at farm stands across the Island, a healthy pumpkin crop is in. It's hard not to appreciate the drama of the seasons.
