It's the time of year when the shift starts, when we feel the edges of winter starting to close in. The leaves are just barely hanging on to ever-barer branches, their departure helped along with fall winds and rain. Time to stock the firewood, rake up the piles of leaves, adjust to shorter days. Holidays and snow are on the horizon.
There's beauty in this time of year, too: the surprise of a warm and sunny day, a shock of yellow leaves framing a house, being cozy inside as the wind howls outside, familiar rituals like voting and setting the clock back. Join Timothy Johnson as he captures some of these moments.
