Seasonal traditions help maintain a sense of balance in confusing times. The derby set the pace for the past many weeks, and now here comes Halloween around the corner.

But why give over just one day to try on a new persona?  Shouldn’t everyday be an opportunity to don a flowing cape or mask, try on whiskers, bunny ears or all manner of superhero muscles? Give it shot —fly or flex, meow or howl at the moon each morning for the next few weeks. It could become the newest of traditions, one that never runs out of steam.
