The Island community joins the rest of the nation today, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, to remember and honor the millions of men and women who fought with bravery and served this country with distinction in the times of war and peace. Veterans Day 2018. The importance of this national day of observance cannot be understated, and we would do well to take enough time to recall what this holiday is all about.
