Welcome, May — how very welcome this new month is. The new green buds are bursting at its arrival; the birds sing earlier each morning as they gather materials for their nests. After weeks of waiting spring comes bursting forth this month, welcomed by daffodils and dogwood, herring and hummingbirds. Empty harbors will soon fill, as will the beaches. But first, time to enjoy spring in full bloom on the Vineyard.
