We call it the changeover weekend and nothing confirms the rush of the high summer season on the Vineyard better than the departure of the July people, the arrival of the August people. And so it is farewell to our July friends returning to their mainland homes and welcome to our August visitors just now landing to enjoy the height of summer, the Vineyard's most robust of all seasons.
