The weather was gray and drizzly Saturday, but that didn't put a damper on homegrown fun and festivities at the Living Local Fall Festival.

The event featured music, lectures and a community supper, and Island restaurants, farms and organizations had booths displaying information or selling goods. Activites included  pumpkin carving and cow chip bingo, and food vendors sold food with at least 70 per cent local ingredients.

"What I love about Living Local is the vibe people have and how amazing this community is," said Nevette Previd, the festival director.
