Fledglings are abundant as summer begins. They may or man not be with Mom or Dad, but most juveniles resemble their parents, which simplifies identification. They may look a little unkempt with litle bits of down showing through their feathers, and they can be rather noisy while they are learning to catch their own food. From barn swallows to hawks and gulls, the baby birds of summer have arrived.
