Aquinnah police and fire celebrated the first ever Public Safety Day Saturday. The event included demonstrations and the opportunity for a close-up view of police, fire and rescue equipment.
There was also a pinning ceremony to honor those who helped last month's rescue of Christoper MacLeod, who had a heart attack.
The combined services of the departments on hand were put to the test last month during a dramatic CPR rescue.
