Island libraries will kick off this year’s summer reading program with a free event on Saturday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury.

Entertainer Jungle Jim will present a program that will feature balloon artistry, magic, comedy, storytelling and improvisation.

The event is jointly sponsored by the Martha’s Vineyard Library Association and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
