On Monday, July 27, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center there will be a celebration of the poetry of Peggy Freydberg, who died this winter at the age of 107.

Readers including Geraldine Brooks, Brooke Adams and Charlayne Hunter-Gault will read poems from Ms. Freydberg’s book Poems from the Pond.
