Thomas Dresser has completed the manuscript for his most recent book, Martha’s Vineyard: A History. This is Mr. Dresser’s eighth book on Vineyard history.

This new book covers a range of topics from the earliest Wampanoag legends to the rise of the whaling industry and the subsequent evolution of the tourist trade. A book launch is set for Thursday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Bluffs library.
