In memory of Laurel Chapman, a longtime officer of the Friends of the Vineyard Haven Library, a series of free cooking classes is planned at the library, featuring well-known Island chefs.

This spring at the Vineyard Haven library you can check out more than books. In memory of Laurel Chapman, a longtime officer of the Friends of the Vineyard Haven Library, a series of free cooking classes is planned featuring well-known Island chefs.

The first class features Doug Smith from Lucky Hank’s demonstrating how to prepare some of his favorite dishes on March 25. The classes are planned for Wednesdays, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library. Subsequent classes will include Jaime Hamlin on April 8 and Cathy Walthers on May 6.
