From Fruits to Nuts

Even though the ground is still covered in white, it’s not too soon to think about an abundant harvest. Thimble Farm is getting everyone in the mood with its hands-on grafting and fruit growing workshop.

Even though the ground is still covered in white, it’s not too soon to think about an abundant harvest. Thimble Farm is getting everyone in the mood with its hands-on grafting and fruit growing workshop led by Kevin Brennan and Jamie O’Gorman from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21. A donation of $20 gets you an hour and a half workshop, and when you leave, you’ll have four of your very own grafted apple or pear trees.

Kevin Brennan will lead a discussion at the workshop on growing and propagating the fruits, nuts and berries best suited to Island life. Sign up by March 15 by emailing [email protected] or by calling 201-478-1925.
