Mr. Elizur is the author of several books and a former deputy editor and economics reporter for Israel’s largest daily newspaper Ma’ariv. He has also served as a Jerusalem correspondent for the Washington Post and the Boston Globe, and was the Columbia School of Journalism’s first Israeli graduate. Mr. Elizur will speak on a range of topics concerning Israel and the Middle East, including Israel’s ultra-Orthodox community, a focus of his latest book, The War Within: Israel’s Ultra-Orthodox Threat to Democracy and the Nation.
