Betsy Bray comes to the Vineyard Haven library as part of the Sunday with Friends program. She’ll present a talk entitled Beatrix Potter: A Woman Ahead of Her Time about the author and illustrator of The Tale of Peter Rabbit and other children’s classics. Besides her work as an author and illustrator, Ms. Potter was also known as a diarist, sheep farmer, conservationist and activist.

The presentation is at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12 and is free.
