No Cockles but Plenty of Veggies

The first frost has hit the Island but that doesn’t mean Vineyarders have to go cold turkey on their fresh produce. The fields are not completely fallow yet, plus there are greenhouses galore, not to mention local meat, milk and cheeses. Come see for yourself at the West Tisbury Winter Farmers’ Market this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The location is different, the market has moved indoors to the Agricultural Hall, and in a way so is the feel. No less enchanting, the market has changed with the seasons. Instead of sunny skies and big crowds, the indoor version invites lingering. Warm up by a roaring fire, sample delicious soup or sit back and enjoy the music by Kevin Keady and friends.
