As part of the membership committee at Mink Meadows Golf Club we want to comment on the recent article by Jim Kaplan on shorter distances for golf play.

As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Well, the Congress is broke and it needs fixing.
The recent budget deadlock, shutting down many government operations and services, can be blamed on adherence to principle on both sides. The Democratic winners of the last election claim that under the Constitution they are trying to do what the voters elected them to do.
About 37 years ago my dad took my son to fish in the junior derby. In a photograph of my son standing on the pier fishing, there’s another boy standing on a piling fishing. These two Camp Ground boys met that day and became forever friends.
I remember a saying: Don’t eat oysters in months without an “r” in them.
