Our president said we would put no boots (armed soldiers) on the ground, but a week later Gen. Martin Dempsey, who leads the U.S.A. military, said if American lives are in danger he would want to send soldiers to rescue them.

Organizers would like to thank the four teams that competed in this year’s annual over-50s ice hockey tournament. After a grueling weekend of games the Mc Sticks beat out the Miracle Autobody team in a hair-raising shoot-out.

Yes, it was a record summer for the VTA. The article in the Gazette did not tell of the very courteous and patient drivers all summer!

Owen Park has become nothing short of a total disgrace! This incredible jewel of an entry point for boaters into Vineyard Haven harbor has fallen into complete disrepair.
