The Tisbury planning board and the board of selectmen are hosting a public meeting to review the findings of the vision planning process, present action steps based on the findings and seek community input.

Boat line governors addressed a petition protesting fare increases at their regular meeting in Woods Hole on Tuesday, but took no action to roll back hikes. Public testimony addressed perceived problems, but also was peppered with praise for the SSA.

The new Oak Bluffs open space and recreation plan will guide the town in stewardship of natural resources. The plan's goals are to address the threat of climate change, reduce nitrogen in ponds, and improve parks and recreational activities.

Chilmark selectmen approved a warrant for a special town meeting Feb. 2 that aims to clear the way for a major restoration project at Squibnocket Beach. Voters will be asked whether to approve a plan developed by a town committee last year.
