Diane Conroy-LaCivita has been appointed to serve as the new Dukes County Health and Human Services director.

Ms. Conroy-LaCivita will oversee and manage the Dukes County health care access and public benefits access departments, as well as the emergency fund distributions and other key public programs.

Ms. Conroy-LaCivita previously served as the executive director for Colonie Senior Services Centers in Albany, N.Y., a nonprofit organization providing housing, transportation, health, wellness and other social services to residents across several counties. 

She moved to the Vineyard in 2025 with her husband, Joe LaCivita, the Tisbury town administrator.
