Geraldine (Geri) Roglieri of Tenafly, N.J., formerly of Chilmark, died on Oct. 21 at the age of 83, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was 83.

Born in Scranton and raised in Scotch Plains, N.J., Geri graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 1959. She went on to earn her master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Columbia University in 1990, dedicating her life to helping others through her work with Catholic Charities. Known affectionately as “Miss Geri,” she worked tirelessly with children and mothers separated by court orders, fostering trust, healing and reconciliation.
