The annual Oak Bluffs fireworks show has been postponed to Saturday, August 19 to avoid inclement weather.

The annual Oak Bluffs fireworks show has been postponed to Saturday, August 19 to avoid inclement weather.

The show was originally scheduled for Friday night, but American Thunder Fireworks, Inc., the company lighting the fireworks, was concerned about rain and wind in the forecast.

Fireworks will start Saturday at sundown, said Oak Bluffs executive assistant Debra Alley, when the weather is expected to be more favorable.

Fireworks Misser

It would be wonderful if the SSA would run a boat late enough for people unable to stay the night to still be able to watch the fireworks.
