Beach Clean-Up Planned

The Vineyard Conservation Society holds its annual Island-wide beach clean-up April 17.

Volunteers will be cleaning up beaches all over the Island on April 17, during the Vineyard Conservation Society's 29th annual beach clean-up.

From 10 a.m. to noon, gloves and trash bags will be available at the clean-up sites, according to the society's website. Participants may also bring their own. Masks and social distancing are requested.

Why are masks and social distancing merely requested and not required?

Because you’re outside and if you’ve ever done a beach cleanup you are pretty much by yourself. Please people let’s get real and use our common sense. It’s a great tradition let’s keep it going and show up on Saturday.
