That's a pretty
TisKid VHThat's a pretty unrecognizable Tisbury School. And for way more money too. And after years of kids in trailers. Just like the committee told us
During the campaign for a new
Ralph Friedman TisburyDuring the campaign for a new school with financial assistance from the Commonwealth, I wrote many letters advocating for total accessibility of the building. Without the previous Select Board's support, the citizens of Tisbury voted to turn down the project by a handful of votes. Now we are looking at fully funding the needed project, without financial support from the Commonwealth. I am viewing the plans the Committee will consider. I am shocked that it appears that the W. Williams entrance to the building has been designed AGAIN with stairs. Does this mean that those who cannot use stairs must once again use alternative ways to access the building? I believe the Tisbury School is the only Island School where the traditional main entrance is not accessible. This is a sad commentary on the Town of Tisbury.
