Gannon and Benjamin Honored for New Sloop

<p>Artemis, a 31-foot sloop built at Gannon &amp; Benjamin, earned the 2017 title for Best Traditional New Build from Classic Boat Magazine.</p>

Artemis, a 31-foot gaff rig canoe stern sloop built at Gannon & Benjamin Marine Railway, earned the 2017 title for Best Traditional New Build from Classic Boat Magazine.

The sloop was designed by Nat Benjamin and launched in September. It was selected the winner out of six boats nominated for best traditional new build in the 10th annual awards.

The awards ceremony was held in London on April 4. The winners were decided by public vote and will be announced in the May issue of Classic Boat.
