Ray Ewing of Edgartown recently had his work included in an international student photography exhibition in China. Breaking Boundaries VI was held in Pingyao, a world heritage site and medieval walled city in China. The curator of the exhibition is Susan L. Dooley, a professor at Nassau Community College.
A 2008 graduate of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, Mr. Ewing is in his third and final year of an MFA candidacy at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M. His thesis photography project will show at the FiveG Gallery in Albuquerque next spring. He has worked summers as a photographer for the Gazette.
His work from the Breaking Boundaries exhibit will also be featured in the Golden Colt Awards in Beijing, and could possibly continue to the Head On festival in Sydney, Australia.
