<p>The Vineyard&rsquo;s much-decorated county veterans agent, Jo Ann Murphy, has won another accolade.</p>

The Vineyard’s much-decorated county veterans agent, Jo Ann Murphy, has won another accolade. On April 11 American Legion National Cmdr. Michael D. Helm presented Ms. Murphy with the American Legion Citation for Meritorious Service from the National Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Commission. The award was presented at the National Commanders Testimonial dinner in Marlborough.

Ms. Murphy is the only veterans’ service officer in the state to serve an entire county. Last year she was named Massachusetts Veterans’ Services Officer of the Year for her work to support veterans in the Vineyard community.
