Students in Chris Baer’s photography class at the regional high school spent part of fall and early winter staking out the nooks and crannies of Oak Bluffs, combing the town to recreate archival photos that they studied in the Martha’s Vineyard Museum library. The people and places of Oak Bluffs is a new exhibit at the museum by the photography students. The opening is Friday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. For information, call 508-627-4441 or visit mvmuseum.org.

Incredible image, and the film is so slow that the people in the background moving are blurred. The photographer must have used a tripod and shot this at a very slow speed. How things have changed! But the detail is hard to beat, looks to be a terrific show.
