Anita Arrives

Ana Dos Santos and Joao Cabral of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a daughter, Anita Dos Santos Cabral, born on May 25, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Anita weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces at birth. She is welcomed by big sister Clara.

Dana Costanza Street and Marin Eric Street of West Tisbury announce the birth of a daughter, Mira Christine Street, born on May 24, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Mira weighed 7 pounds, 2.3 ounces at birth.

Habitat for Humanity of Martha’s Vineyard and the Town of West Tisbury have extended the deadline for applications to buy and help build one of eight houses at Eliakim’s Way at 250 State Road in West Tisbury.

The three-bedroom, affordable, energy efficient house will include solar panels to approach zero net energy use.

The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation is accepting inquiries in its 2009 Developmental Disabilities Grant category.
