Rande Gail Brown passed away in the early morning hours of Oct. 13 in an amazing display of diligent awareness and gentle fortitude. Her family would like to recognize the kindness, care, and respect Rande received from the M -10th floor team of Memorial Sloan Kettering, who compassionately kept her comfortable and free from suffering or pain.

Rande lived a deeply eclectic and interesting life. She was a lifelong student, a respected spiritual practitioner and mentor, translator, writer, caregiver, teacher and psychoanalyst. She was also a brilliant friend and beloved family member, and a radiant inspiration both in her life and in her death. She is certainly free.
