Deanna Ivory Williamson died at 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 18. She was 88.

Deanna was a mother to three children: Michael, John and Carolee.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Calif., she moved to Martha’s Vineyard over 30 years ago, and soon after her daughter Carolee followed.

Deanna loved cats and keeping a busy schedule, and was known for her volunteer work over the years as a dedicated Coast Guard and at the senior center in Vineyard Haven.

Deanna and her daughter Carolee built their lives here, and were nearly inseparable. Deanna died just three weeks to the day after her daughter Carolee Aiello.

She leaves behind her son Michael and his four daughters: Jenna, Carly, Elise and Ariel. She also leaves behind Carolee’s two children: Savanna and Vito, who she was close to all their lives.
