There will be a memorial mass celebrating the life of Barbara Thomas Murphy on July 5 at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 22 Massasoit avenue, Oak Bluffs, beginning at noon.

Our Lady Star of the Sea is a place that Barbara held close to her heart and where she celebrated many life milestones: baptism, first communion,

confirmation, wedding vows and more.

The ceremony will also honor the $5,000 in donations made in Barbara’s name to the Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living, an organization that helped so much as she progressed through her illness.

Barbara’s influence in this life was epic and we are blessed to see it continue to benefit the Island community.
