We at Martha’s Vineyard Community Services wish to thank the Gazette for its thoughtful Dec. 10 coverage of MVYouth’s extraordinary $1 million gift to our Space to THRIVE capital campaign. Your reporting captures not only the scale of this remarkable contribution, but also the spirit of generosity and shared purpose that make our Island such a special place.
Moments like these remind us that when caring community organizations join forces, rays of hope shine even brighter. MVYouth’s visionary investment in our new campus — set to open in the autumn of 2026 — reflects a collective commitment to ensuring that Islanders of every age and background have access to the support and resources they need to thrive.
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services is deeply proud to partner with MVYouth and so many other Island nonprofits who share our mission of caring for this community we all call home. We extend our heartfelt thanks to MVYouth and to every donor who has contributed to the Space to THRIVE campaign.
As we enter the new year, we look forward to inviting even broader community participation in the campaign. New opportunities are on the horizon — including a grassroots initiative to sponsor the planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers that will help our new campus bloom as a reflection of this Island’s enduring generosity.
