Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary hosts its 45th annual fall festival on Friday, Nov. 28.
Celebrate all things family and fall at the sanctuary with wildlife meet-and-greets, live music, crafts, hayrides, wreath making and more.
This year’s theme is Quiescence, which means dormancy, and will feature activities that explore the ways nature rests, hibernates and conserves energy during the colder months.
The day starts at 9 a.m. with a guided birding in place program, inviting participants to observe and listen for birds from a single location.
More activities will begin at 10 a.m. with Amazing Animal Ambassadors showcasing live animal presentations at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and a lively bird call competition at noon. The day ends at 2 p.m.
Admission is free and activities are made possible through the generous sponsorship of Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard, Working Earth Organic Gardening and Landscaping and Slough Farm.
In keeping with Mass Audubon’s commitment to sustainability, attendees are encouraged to help reduce the event’s carbon footprint by bringing their own mug and utensils.
Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 100 Felix Neck Drive in Edgartown.
