Ashley Medowski in West Tisbury has an unveiling of her 23rd year at her Studio in West Tisbury. All her paintings and whimsical driftwood sculptures of 2025 are on display from August 3rd to September 7th. Stop by and see her work.
Sarah Nelson is the artist-in-residence at Slough Cove Farm this summer. Sarah had a plein air class scheduled for August 17 but it already sold out.
Kathy Poehler, whose medium is Island seaweed, won a first place in the all-Island art show on August 4. She just keeps moving on.
Kate Feiffer was delighted when her Island friends who write essays, poetry and fiction combined for their first book, the Washashores Review. Kate has drawn the cover. You may buy it at the Featherstone Center for the Arts. All proceeds go to Featherstone.
The birthday bandwagon pulled along Sandie Corr-Dolby on August 7; Anne D. Grandin observed August 8; Annette Sandrock partied on August 10; Leigh Smith hits a milestone of 98 on August 15; and on August 17 Jeanne Giambro turns nine years old on the same day her beloved black lab, Bo turns twelve. Many happy returns.
