Dale Walker is accused of groping a woman and secretly videotaping people having sex in his apartment.
A Vineyard Haven man accused of groping a woman and secretly videotaping people having sex in his apartment pleaded not guilty to several charges in Edgartown District Court late last month.
Dale Walker, 58, was arraigned on July 31 for two counts photographing sexual or intimate parts without consent, two counts of disseminating photographs of sexual or intimate parts, accosting another person, sexual conduct for a fee, and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.
Police started investigating Mr. Walker in March 2024 after a person came forward and said Mr. Walker had secretly videotaped them having sex using a hidden camera in a water bottle, according to Tisbury police reports.
One person said that Mr. Walker had allowed him to use the room to have sex with his girlfriend, but they didn’t know about the cameras, police wrote.
Mr. Walker allegedly later showed people some of the videos and others came forward to allege they had also been filmed without their consent, police wrote.
A woman also told police that Mr. Walker inappropriately touched her and would only allow her to stay with him if she had sex with him, according to the report, which has many redactions.
Police did search Mr. Walker’s home later in March 2024 and allegedly he acknowledged the camera was in his bedroom.
In an interview with police, Mr. Walker claimed that people did know about the camera, according to the report.
Police continued to investigate Mr. Walker into 2025 before he was arraigned on the charges last month. Mr. Walker was released on personal recognizance and has a pretrial on September 19.
