The Chappaquiddick Island Association annual meeting is Saturday, August 2 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Chappy Community Center. Come early for coffee and pastries, it is always worthwhile to attend.

This year, there will also be a Zoom connection for those of you who can’t make it live. The sound may not be optimal, but you can enhance your understanding of what’s being said by turning on the “closed captioning” feature in Zoom (at the bottom of the screen). The transcription, which will appear at the bottom of your screen, is very good. While there will be no chance for you to speak, you will be able to send questions and comments through the Zoom chat feature. Those inputs will be read throughout the meeting. 

There will also be a video and minutes from the meeting as well, which we will distribute shortly thereafter.

Photo entries for the 2026 calendar contest will be on display at the CCC. Everbody gets to vote for their favorites.

The Chappy Community Center annual meeting is Saturday, August 16 from 9 to 10 a.m. Show your support for all of the activities and events the center is hosting this summer.

New fares on the Chappaquiddick Ferry will go into effect on Friday, August 1. See postings of the new fares at the ferry. Ask the ferry crew for confirmation before writing a check.
