The Federated Church of Martha’s Vineyard welcomes the Rev. Dr. Brad Braxton to the pulpit on Sunday, July 27 for its 10 a.m. worship service. Reverend Braxton is the current president and professor of Public Theology at Chicago Theological Seminary.

Reverend Braxton has a PhD in New Testament studies, and has preached in South Africa, Ghana, Westminster Abbey. He has also authored five scholarly books about religion and social justice.

Federated Church’s current minister, the Rev. Dr. Mark Winters, was first introduced to Reverend Braxton’s work through his commentary, No Longer Slaves: Galatians and the African American Experience.
