Larkin Stallings has been selected by Martha’s Vineyard Community Services as the winner of the third annual Art Buchwald Award for Outstanding Community Service.
The award will be presented at the 47th Possible Dreams event on Sunday, July 20.
Created in honor of Pulitzer Prize–winning columnist and long-time Possible Dreams host Art Buchwald, the award celebrates individuals whose generosity, perseverance and dedication have strengthened the fabric of Island life.
Mr. Stallings is the owner of The Ritz in Oak Bluffs, and he and his wife Jacqueline have lived on the Vineyard since 2014.
Mr. Stallings has served on the board of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services for nine years, concluding his term in 2024. He is also a board member of The Vineyard House and currently leads the Oak Bluffs Business Association.
His earlier volunteer work includes a decade of service as a counselor at the Harris County Jail in Houston, where he supported individuals facing substance use disorder.
This year’s Possible Dreams event takes place at the Allen Farm in Chilmark, and will once again be hosted by comedian and late-night host Seth Meyers.
