The Chappy Community Center is looking for a yoga instructor. You have your pick of any day except Monday. Classes are from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Anyone interested email Tina at [email protected].

The Chappaquiddick Island Association annual meeting is Saturday August 2 from 9 to 11 a.m. It’s always interesting and informative.

Also on Saturday August 2 is the first day of the Plumb Cup tennis tournament. The organizers are aware that it’s the same day as the CIA meeting, but other events dictated the scheduling of the tournament. They are working on a plan so that people can attend both.

A cocktail party with a reading of Don McLagan’s poem, Doubles, is Saturday evening. Finals are on Sunday. If you are interested in participating, please email Amy at [email protected].

The next household hazardous materials collection is on Saturday July 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at the MV Refuse District transfer station near the big airport.
